Yenny la Boricua

Many readers send me very good comments trough e-mail because of this strip above. Altough Yenny is puertorican, I rarely mention it in the comic or show the flag because I think her latin origins show very well.
But is good to have her dancing salsa again.
I should make a print of this.

MEET MILLO/ CONOZCAN A MILLO

IT SEEMS THAT MILLO IS WINNING THE HEARTS OF THE READERS AND SURPRISINGLY ENOUGH, ALSO YENNY'S.
I DIDN'T TOUGHT OF HIM AS A KEEPER BUT DEFINITELY HE WILL CONTINUE AS A REGULAR IN THE SERIES. AND AS A STRANGE RIVAL FOR KELSO!

PARECE QUE MILLO SE ESTÁ GANANDO LOS CORAZONES DE LOS LECTORES Y APARENTEMENTE EL DE YENNY TAMBIÉN.

NUNCA PENSÉ EN EL COMO UN PERSONAJE QUE SE QUEDARA PERO DEFINITIVAMENTE VA A SER UNO REGULAR DE AHORA EN ADELANTE. Y HACE TREMENDO EXTRAÑO RIVAL PARA KELSO

Yenny in NY: The lost strips

I feel bad for all the readers who missed the past three days of Yenny at Go Comics.com.As I said in my journal, it seems that they were having some technical problems.Anyway, here are the past three comic strips so you can catch up with the storyline.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Primera Hora, (the newspaper who publishes Yenny's comic strips in Puerto Rico), just updated their webpage with a new look. As part of this they are including a batch of Yenny's animated e-cards. The idea is to update these cards monthly featuring all the characters from the comic strip. (Watch out for Zacha's hostile e-cards, ha-ha *snort*)

Hope you like:

Yenny at the San Diego Art Institute!

Yenny's comic strips were chosen for exhibition by the San Diego Art Institute: Museum of the Living Artist at The House of Charm in Balboa Park ( http://www.sandiego-art.org/ ).
A homage for latin comic strips will be held at the museum. Among them, the famous comic strip, Baldo.
At the same time, The Latino Film Festival will take place and a small Yenny animated short will debut that night with Nickelodeon as the main sponsor. (www.sdlatinofilm.com)

I want to thank all the readers who made this possible!

Obscure Disney Moments!

Paul Dini send me this link from a Disney Blog this morning and I must say it's incredible!
First I saw a never seen before animated short of Disney's the Three Little Pigs made specially for a 1963 Cri-Cri Movie (Mexico's children character).

http://disneybooks.blogspot.com/2006/11/three-little-pigs-sequence-from-cri.html

How in the world Disney contributed with such a gorgeous piece? I don't know! But I was amazed when I saw it. The expressions and the animation is beautiful and best of all it was made in spanish! You can tell by the way they move their lips when they say "por favor". In fact, that's the only correct lip synch in all the movie but hey, it's great!
On the other hand, while browsing the page I found this black and white commercial featuring soap for kids starring Donald Duck and Porky Pig together!!!?? That was waaaaaay back before Who Framed Roger Rabbit ever appeared. You can tell it was Disney who made the animation for the way Donald moves.

Enjoy!
